This Website ...

I wrote this website to aid people who are studying Middle Egyptian. I myself became interested in this ancient language through my fascination with the history of the ancient East, and of Egypt in particular.

"Once the hieroglyphic duck bites, it doesn't let go."
---Egyptologist, Emmanuel de Rouge (1811-72)

The Logo

The website's logo is derived from the Egyptian word 'writing-board' where the determinative sign ( stick - M3 ) for wood was substituted with a new different determinative sign ( I hope that serious Egyptologists will excuse me ).
Indeed, computers are the new writing-boards for modern scribes.

Please excuse the absence of a link, I have not written out my email in an attempt to minimize spam.
You will need to replace "at" and "dot" with the correct punctuation when you write me.
